Red Sox 8, Yankees 6Stuffy McInnis' two-run single in the 11th inning proved to be the difference as the Sox outlasted New York. McInnis had three hits, Babe Ruth reached base four times, and Wally Schang walked three times for Boston, while Ping Bodie had three hits for the Yankees. [box]

White Sox 7, Browns 6A four-run 6th capped by Joe Jackson's two-run triple brought the White Sox all the way back from an early 5-1 deficit to edge St. Louis at Sportsman's Park. Buck Weaver had three of the thirteen Chicago safeties, while Ken Williams knocked in three for the Browns. [box]
