Reds 2, Pirates 1: Larry Kopf singled home Edd Roush with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning as Cincinnati outlasted Pittsburgh at Redland Field. The Reds were first to strike, when Kopf singled and stole second in the 2nd, and then trotted home on Manuel Cueto's double. It looked as if Ray Fisher (4-5) would make that stand up for the balance of the afternoon, but Pirate hurler Babe Adams doubled to begin the top of the 8th and Carson Bigbee followed hot on his heels with an RBI single that tied the score. The two hurlers continued to lock horns into extra frames, with neither team really mounting any sort of nuisance until there were two outs in the home half of the 11th. Roush singled off of Adams (5-1), stole second base, and then slid under the tag of Cliff Lee for the win after Kopf had singled into shallow center. [box]
2013 World Series mixed-sim replay
Scott Needle and I replayed the 2013 World Series between the Cardinals and Red Sox using three different simulations: Strat-O-Matic Super Advanced (Games One and Two), Payoff Pitch (Games Three and Four) and Season Ticket (Games Five through Seven). This was a fun chance to see the differences in the three games in close proximity, and they were all enjoyable.

2025 CFL Co-Op Replay: Week 1, EDM at BC
In a contest that didn’t seem as close as the final score indicated, the Lions pulled clear after half time behind the running of James Butler and then withstood a fourth-quarter Edmonton rally. The first quarter saw a fair bit of ball movement, but neither side could crack the end zone; the Elks got into position for two FGs behind a 54-yard throw from Ford to Dunbar on their first possession, and a 36-yard kickoff return by Smith midway through the quarter. BC got one three-pointer of their own after a short kickoff and a 24-yard strike from Rourke to Jackson.
